Chemical Absorbent Pillows H-FIBER are suitable for absorbing and collecting large quantities of acids, bases, corrosives, chemicals and unknown liquids – even highly concentrated solutions such as 98% sulfuric acid and 30% sodium hydroxide. The product can clean up large spills or continuous leaks of liquid to minimize damage when chemical spills occur.
The pillow core is manufactured using Japanese nanotechnology from 100% polypropylene with fiber diameter <100nm, enhancing absorbency 25 – 30 times its own weight. The product does not fray or re-release the solution even after it has been soaked in chemicals.
The product is used to quickly absorb chemicals and hazardous solutions on the floor and on the ground; Used to clean machine parts and tools contaminated with chemicals during transportation and use.
Chemical absorbent pillows are commonly used in laboratories, in chemical storage areas, around battery packs and dip tanks, in process plants, in boiler rooms, R&D rooms, and chemicals storage warehouses, industrial parks, chemical-related industries and the risk of toxic chemical leaks.
Step 1: Wear protective gloves (or protective clothing) to avoid direct contact with hazardous chemicals with the skin.
Step 2: Gently place the chemical absorbent pillow on the surface of the spill or chemical stain so that the product has the maximum contact area.
Step 3: Wait 3-5 minutes for the pillow to slowly absorb the chemical, change the pillow side and wait the same time. The product will change color darker when all the solutions have been absorbed. When the product is saturated with chemicals (the entire color changes) it will become saturated.
Step 4: After completing treatment of the incident area, quickly put the saturated (soaked) chemical absorbent pillow into a specialized trash can or hazardous waste storage place, away from heat/fire sources, away from water tank area, and do not discharge directly into the environment.
